Lindsay Lohan`s claim to sweatshop child rescue in India countered

Lindsay Lohan's recent claim that she was helping children targeted by trafficking in India drew some jaded reactions.
The Sydney Morning Herald cites a UK report that Lohan's claim to be changing the world 'one child at a time' could have been hot air.

The actress, according to the Daily Telegraph, played a part in a rescue mission to save sweatshop minors.

An Indian social activist known as Bhuwan told the Telegraph that the child labourers had been rescued hours before she arrived in New Delhi.
Lohan, who made the trip for a documentary, visited the children the day after the rescue with her BBC film crew, the report claimed.
Anti-trafficking campaigner Ruchira Gupta had called the visit a case of a publicity-seeking starlet 'trivialising child trafficking' for her own benefit.

Lohan, for her part, has hailed the visit as a turning point in her life since her return.
